My clients are relocating from out of state so I was looking for a temporary place for my clients to stay while their new Sun City Mesquite home is finished. Ken and Mary sold their home within a week of listing it - that was some good news! They need to rent here in Mesquite for just a few weeks - they need a place where they can park their car and van and their darling dog, Maggie will be welcome.
I stopped by the Siegel Suites and talked to the resident manager, Jose, who gave me a tour of the two story complex.
Very quiet and peaceful, with some beautiful views, Siegel Suites is in a great location up the hill from the Eureka Casino and a walk away from Mesquite's Community Recreation Center.
The outside grounds and the apartments are very well kept - Jose lives right on site and makes sure that it is very well kept.
The studio apartments are cozy, with a complete kitchen and full bathroom with shower and a tub.
One bedroom apartments have a separate bedroom, full living room, full bath and complete kitchen. Both units can be furnished or unfurnished and come with all utilities, including premium cable and local phone service. Bring some linens, dishes, towels, and a toothbrush - you're ready to go!
There is a full laundry room on site for residents - so you can pack lightly and just bring a light jacket for this time of year. There is also plenty of parking on site for residents, with extra room for a small RV, boat or camper.
Siegel Suites Residences can be rented by the week or by the month on a short term or long term basis. Monthly rates start at $499 per month with easy qualifications and no lease requirements.
Pets are welcome with a small extra charge by the month. It is a short walk to one of Mesquite's local parks - pets are welcome there, too, just remember to pick up after them with the doggie bags that are provided at the park.
Stay for a week or stay forever, it's up to you!

$499 a month furnished, sweet. Our rents are very low now, but the best deals are still higher. We are now trying to rent a direct riverfront condo on the 3rd floor of a 6-story condo on Daytona's beachside, 2 bdr/2 bath, 1,396 sf, everyting included except for electricity, fully furnished, and all that for $850. It is vacant for 2 months already.
Before we moved to our condo in Ponce Inlet, we rented that unit, we weathered all the hurricanes of 2004 there, and I loved it.
We have a nice new 2/2 condo in Ponce Inlet, but I miss walking to the office. It was 7 minutes to the beach, and then I just strolled on the sand for another 15 minutes with my shoes in my hands.
It was close.

Virginia - I have a friend who stayed there for 3 months, he loved it - very inexpensive and nice and quiet.
Jon - These are really nice little condos - all utilities, even phone and premium cable. I am thinking about buying some plastic silverware and paper plates and moving in. Next time we have company, I think I will send them there. This is the only thing like that here, there were some but they were converted to hotel condos and sold individually - I think we talked about that. And the neighborhood is excellent - I live about 4 blocks away!

We are coming to Mesquite tomorrow and were thinking of staying with friends, but wanted to find out how much it might cost us to stay in one of your Siegel Suite rentals for a week? Or is that possible?

I am not a property manager, just wrote about the Siegel Suites, they are one of the few places other than hotels that have short term rentals. Give them a call @702-346-4700 - they might have vacancies.
