Marilyn Redd Park on the north side of Mesquite NV - lovely park to take a picnic for one or for the whole family. Pets are welcome on a leash, the dog friendly walking path surrounds the park. It is about 1/3 of a mile around the park path - 3 trips around and you have walked a mile on the hilly terrain.
The volleyball court is right by the large pavillion - if you are not a player, at least you can have lunch at the tables and watch a brisk game. The covered pavillions at Marilyn Redd Park are available for parties and barbecues - if you want one all to yourself, just make a reservation with the Mesquite City Parks Department - you just have to clean up your own mess!

Marilyn Redd Park - Pet Friendly - North Side of Mesquite NV

This looks like a great place for pets and for golfers. It remindes me of when my black lab went after an expensive golf ball and I had to pay for it!
Virginia,
the photo looks like a painting. So beautiful. Of course, for a floridian the view of the mountains is stunning
You should show more pictures like this one, when I think Nevada, green is not the color that comes to mind.

Joan, you must teach your lab to get them when no one is looking. :)
Jon, thank you! Marilyn Redd Park is beautiful and pet friendly - I used to take my dog there every day.
Todd - Mesquite is sitting on a huge aquifer of water, lots of minerals and junk in it that the grass and plants just love. Irrigation is a wonderful thing in the desert. LOL
Virginia - Long time no read... Those are some great pictures. Such green grass! It seems so inviting to everyone.
Mark - nice to see you here. Mesquite has plenty of parks and walking paths, an oasis in the desert. :)
Wow! Green grass and this photos makes you want to take your shoes off. This is an amazing photo especially with grass out in Nevada. Thanks!
What a great park, and pet friendly too! I'll have to stop by some time on my way through and take a picnic lunch there to enjoy.
Lizette- exactly the right place to go barefoot in the park. :}
Erika, we really should get together for lunch sometime - Mesquite or St George, I'm buying!
You just never see it when you are driving through Nevada, maybe from time to time I should exit the freeway. (LOL)

Todd - do you ever sleep? LOL
There are only 2 off ramps in Mesquite - lots of little parks, many connected by walking paths - get off and stretch your legs a little.
