No, that is not it. Mesquite weather is beautiful and I wish you were here. That's better. I better quit listening to Jimmy Buffet, I guess. We had a cold winter ... more than 7 inches of rain already - that is about 3 inches more than our annual average in Mesquite. Spring has sprung and I will be out taking shots of the cactus blooms.
Snow on the mountains around Mesquite and golfers out in their shorts.
Gotta love this Mesquite weather! And if you have the $$ for a round at Wolfcreek Golf Course - go for it!

Wow, beautiful picture Virginia! We too, have had a lot of rain... I know it's Spring, but the temps are still a bit chilly in our neck of the woods.
Virginia, the picture is terrific. Lost a little bit the background of the mountain, but I guess for that you need a powerful tele lenses
The weather here gets to summer-style. I was at the groundbreaking ceremony and got sweating. First time after winter.
Thank you Melinda - I love the rain, but I was getting tired of it, just not used to having rain here.
Jon, on a clear day, I can get better shots of the mountains, a little mist up there. The golfcourses always look amazing here. Irrigated with recycled water - 3 times a day in the summer.
Good evening Virginia,
Thanks for the nice comments regarding Elizabeth in Virginia's post. Mesquite looks beautiful but where the heck is it? Are you close to Winamucca? I think I'd like the cactus.
Hi Lloyd, Mesquite is on the east side of Nevada, 80 miles northeast of Las Vegas, right on the Arizona border. Small city with less than 20K people - lots of golf courses.
Virginia - you are lucky to live in such gorgeous place. What brought you to Mesquite? It sounds like a great community to live, especially for the golfers. Thank you for your advice on developing a niche for myself.
This is just breathe taking, Virginia. I am definitely jealous where you live. Thanks for sharing with us!
Virginia - I'm still wearing my sweaters and jackets--can't wait for it to warm up in Southern Cali!
We're more than ready for spring around the Seattle area Virginia. We had fifty inches of rain last year and may end up with an equal amount this year. I need an escape to Mesquite!
What a gorgeous photo, I'm certainly ready for spring. We've had a long winter too!
Virginia - I wish I was there enjoying your weather. We're having thunderstorms AGAIN today. Took my tree down earlier this week. Enough already. LOL
Gorgeous shot of Mesquite Virginia! It was definitely weird driving to gym with man pal in mid eighties weather and viewing the snow up at Mt Charleston today!
Elizabeth - Mesquite is a great place to retire to - so we are working our way to retirement. :)
Lizette - you have some beautiful terrain that I would love to visit.
Norma - I just packed away our winter coats - a hoody is about all we will need for the next 6 months.
Greg, we have had over 7 inches of rain this year - double our annual norm of 4 inches.
Erika - I can usually get a glimpse of your St George weather by looking at the mountains to the east.
Connie - Enough already is right! My daughter just called from Wisconsin, snowing again there.
Renee - yes, it is funny to hear my friends say they are going to LV to snow ski.
