Sun City Mesquite representatives called the Mesquite Veterans Center and asked how they could help with Veteran's Day 2010 in Mesquite. And their contribution did not end with a Float featuring "The Andrews Sisters" in the Nov 6 Veteran's Day Parade.
Sun City Mesquite donated all proceeds from their 2010 Party 4 Life Benefit to the new Mesquite Veterans Center - quite a contribution - over $32,000!
Residents of this popular 55 + active adult community stepped up and joined employees to build the first Sun City Veteran's Day Float and then volunteered all weekend for the Party 4 Life event held at the Pioneer Recreation Center.
On Friday Nov 5, Golf for Life at the Conestoga Golf Course was held, with 50% of all greens fees going to the Mesquite Veterans.
Way to go, Sun City!
And Sun Nov 14 will be the last day to pay tribute to our Veterans at the Healing Field of Honor at the Mesquite NV City Recreation Center Field - 1000 American Flags proudly displayed.

Janna - so many residents of that active adult community stepped up, it was an amazing accomplishment. We have a lot of Veterans here and they are finally opening the new Vet center.
