My daughter, Aly lives in Colorado Springs, Co and has always told me how pet friendly that city is. Where else could a Dog feel comfortable driving a motorcycle? Aly took this picture today. The dog is wearing goggles and a helmet. He jumped up on the seat and got in perfect riding position. And off they went!
I talk about how pet friendly Mesquite is.... but we don't let dogs drive here. Even if they have a license.

I wonder if that Dog has his Licence? LOL
What a cute pic! Thanks for sharing it!
Harry - at least he is abiding by the helmet law. :)
Now that really does look like a dog friendly city. Nice pic.
Looks like he is a better rider than most I've seen around here lately. (LOL)

Tim - Thanks, my daughter sent it from her Blackberry - I visited Colorado Springs recently - they take their pets everywhere.
Todd - may daughter said the dog jumped on the motorcycle and was ready to go - looked like he has a lot of experience.
Hi Virginia,
This is such a cool shot! It would be interesting to see a close up.
My husband used to have a dog that rode on the back seat of his motorcycle. Here's the only picture that I know he has:
Marzena, Aly took it from her cell phone - a quick shot, they were having lunch when they saw the dog jump on the motorcycle.
Jim - Thanks, that is so cute - and look at the guy in the car next to him, he looks pretty surprised.
That's great! I remember seeing a few dog-riders when I was in CO, and just loved it. Woof!
Mara - yes, very cool - Colorado Springs brags about how dog friendly they are - this pic proved it!
What a great picture! I love it!
I love pet friendly and I love the name of the coffee house. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks, Debra, my daughter sends me some good ones.
Shelton - Yes, Pike's Perk, I looked at the picture a couple of times before I noticed it.
Virginia - What a great picture! That little fur baby looks like a happy camper.
Donne - my dog would be so jealous, he thinks he is hot stuff riding in my car with his head out the window.
Fun! My guess is that some dogs would drive better than the folks here in your nation's capital.

Great post! And great picture too!
Thanks for sharing,
Adam
Virginia: Do you think the dog has a license? Or the right kind of license for that? Wow. Now I've seen everything!
Michael - Yes, as long as he is sober. LOL
Adam - a fun one.
Aaron - maybe a dog license is like a learner's permit? :)
OMG HILARIOUs with the helmet. I also like "Pike's Perk" coffee house in the background!
Hey, Renee, don't forget the goggles - I want to get some for my poodle to wear while he is hanging his head out my window.
Virginia, I've never seen a dog wear a helmet before. Your daughter got a great shot!
Hi Maria - she sends me great pics of fun stuff. :)
Yes, Virginia, I have been to Colorado Springs before, and it is a very special place. Never seen anything like that before, however! =)
Hi Virginia! I love that shot! My brother attended the USAF Academy so, the Pikes 'Perk' certainly brought back memories of going to visit and taking the Pikes Peak tours! I never felt so oxygen deprived! I NEEDED the 'perk' when I came down! LOL
Aaron - my daughter loves Colorado Springs - very pet friendly, she has two dogs and there are parks all over. Fun Pic!
Debe - My son in law, has a cross country bicycle, he is enjoying riding it straight up and down mountains - ah...the energy of these young folks.
This is great! I'll bet they wouldn't have kicked me out of the grocery store when I took my 8 week old puppy in there when we first got him because I didn't want him to be scared in the car.
Hi Sharon - my daughter's dog ate my dog's bed - so Aly took my poodle to Walmart here in Mesquite - she took him in and let him try all the dog beds and pick one. That is pretty pet friendly :)
Virginia - What a great shot and a fun concept - gives dog friendly a whole new meaning. Last time we were in Mesquite, we wished we had some dog booties for our Siberian Husky we had at that time...110 degrees that day.
Hi Karen, I take my dog to several of the pet friendly parks here in Mesquite - in summer, I avoid the sidwalk and try to keep him on the grass - lots of grassy areas here!
Hi Virginia - Next time we're in your nexk of the woods, maybe you can give us a tour of some of the lovely areas you highlight in your blog, like the golf courses and those grassy pet friendly parks. ;-)
Hi Virginia! How cute - the dog must love it! We have a guy in the area that has a sidecar for his dog. It's so cute to see them riding around.
Karen - call me anytime for a tour of Mesquite!
Hi April - I have never seen a dog in a sidecar either - how fun, I have seen cat strollers here, though, very cute.
