My husband is a Vietnam Vet who made it home safely years ago - My son in law, Dave is a Seabee who came home from Afghanistan last month. Last night 300 soldiers came home from Afghanistan to Fort Carson in Colorado Springs, Co.

And one of those 300 is my son in law. Welcome home, Larry, we are so glad you are home safe.

Thank you to all of the members of our military and their families.

Virginia - I happy he is home safe. I am very grateful to everyone who served and sacrifices they made so we can live a better life. Happy Memorial Day.
John, thank you - their service to our country impacts their whole life and is so hard on their families. We are blessed to have such a fine military.
Virginia: What better way could you have had to celebrate Memorial Day... than to have your son-in-law Larry back home with you. I hope you all had a wonderful "family-type" day. Hooray for you all !
PS... what an absolutely GREAT photo of all of them... with their flags... in that auditorium. Just Great ! It looks like your daughter is pretty happy to have Larry back, as well. Huggs to all.
Hi Karen, Isn't it wonderful? Thank you - a hug from you would be special.
Aly was there 5 hours early waiting - she took these pics from her cell phone - Larry was gone a whole year, Aly just lights up when he is with her.
Virginia, what a glorious reunion! And for it to happen on Memorial Day!

Derenda - Memorial Day is a bittersweet day for Americans - but it is to honor those who have served our country. This one is very special.
Aly and Larry - we are so happy for you.
How wonderful to have a safe return to celebrate! I just got home from Ft. Benning GA where 240 new soldiers graduated from basic training, including my son Dallas. He recently joined the Idaho National Guard and will deploy to Iraq with his unit in September. My heart is full, and our country is in good hands!
Hooray! Thanks to every one serving our wonderful country. We are still the best in the world!
I'm glad that these men and women made it home. You must be proud of your son in law!
Virginia such a moving picture. So glad your son in law is home safe!
Janna, how nice that you were able to go to see Dallas graduate - such a big step into the world. They don't realize that they are still our babies. :)
Nellie - we are the best, we have the best!
Georgina - SO proud - this was his 3rd tour.
Debra - Thank you - my daughter sent it to me from her cell phone - she was waiting in the gym for 5 hours, they were 2 hours late arriving, I am sure that it felt like days to her.
