Pulte Del Webb - Sun City Mesquite!  This active adult senior community in Mesquite, Nv for 55 plus residents was the best-selling Del Webb new home community in the U.S. in 2007.  Designed for seniors wanting to retire or buy a second home, Sun City Mesquite by Del Webb is easily the best selling age restricted community in Nevada and it did not even open until June 2007!

People came from all over the country and Canada for the grand opening of Pulte Del Webb Sun City Mesquite in June 2007.  Of the people who bought in 2007, approximately 40% were from Nevada, 15% from Utah, and 12% from California.  I guess Sun City Mesquite is not a secret destination for 55 + home buyers!  And a small percentage of buyers can buy with the 50 + age minimum.

These energy-efficient new single family homes in Sun City Mesquite have options for 18" tile and granite countertops in the kitchens.  All homes have 2-car finished garages attached to the home and some plans offer a 3 car garage, extra storage or a casita.  Most homes have a back covered patio and many plans include a front patio or private courtyard as well.

14 different floor plans are offered.  The smallest plan in Sun City Mesquite is the Daisy with 1241 sq feet, priced at $176,490.  The largest plan is the Mariposa with 3116 sq ft and priced at $383,490.  When completed, there will be 3400 homes in Pulte Del Webb Sun City Mesquite.

Del Webb's Sun City Mesquite was sculptured into the bluffs and canyons of the desert terrain, with various sized lots at different elevations to take advantage of the mountain and desert views.

Sun City Mesquite Floor Plans and Prices

Sun City Mesquite's 30,000 sq ft, state-of-the-art recreation center was built at a cost of $18 million. It already opened in November 2007, is included in the HOA fees, and is for Sun City Mesquite residents and their guests only.

In construction now, the Conestoga golf club was designed for Pulte Del Webb by Gary Pranks and named for the Conestoga wagons that carried the first settlers to the area.  This 18-hole golf course in Sun City Mesquite will be a public course with no membership fees and not included in the HOA fees.  Sun City Mesquite residents do get special golf rates and preferential tee times.  The Conestoga golf course is expected to opened in NOV 2009 for residents with a grand pre opening on January 30th of 2010.

Sun City Mesquite Homes for Sale - 55 + neighborhoods - homes in a golfcourse community

Sun City Mesquite announced on June 5 2009 that they have lowered the prices of all Sun City new homes for sale in Mesquite.  This age restricted 55 plus community in Mesquite has been a huge success with over 550 homes sold since their grand opening in June of 2007.  The sales total of Sun City Mesquite is close to the total single family sales in the rest of the Mesquite NV MLS in the last 2 years.

Lila Williams, sales representative at Sun City Mesquite says,

"The price adjustment reflects several cost savings experienced by value engineering in each series and floor plans.  Along with the new prices are new included features and upgrades that are available for all floor plans.  Some of the prior standards are now available as options, but many features are still included.

And of course, Pulte Del Webb is still providing the same standard Energy Engineered Features on our new homes that they have always been renowned for.

The Daisy is the smallest of the 14 Sun City Mesquite floor plans and is now offered at $171,490 with Armstrong No Wax, Easy-Care Vinyl Flooring and Wilsonart Laminate Countertops.  Tile floors and granite countertops will be available as upgrades.  Larger floorplans will include the tile and granite as standard features.

A really nice added feature is offered on the popular Laurel floorplan which is now priced at $218,490.  It is a 1569 square foot home with 2 bedrooms and a den - a golf cart garage is now available as an upgrade in addition to the 2 car garage that is standard.

Sun City Mesquite HOA fee of $120 in their non-gated communities is still the same and includes use of their Pioneer Recreation Center, Sun City Mesquite Walking Trails and VIP discounted fees at Sun City Mesquite's Conestoga Golf Course, scheduled to 'soft' open for Sun City residents in late 2009.  The golf course will be open to the public in early 2010.

Sun City Mesquite is an active adult golf course community for 55 plus residents in Mesquite Nevada.  HOA fees of $120 per month include use of all Recreation features of this popular age restricted subdivision.  Pulte Del Webb has created many beautiful walking trails and parks for the use of Sun City Mesquite residents and their guests.

Sun City Mesquite Recreation Center - Active Adult Community for 55 Plus

I was at my office (Mesquite GMAC Real Estate) and got a phone call from a very nice man, asking for directions.  We chatted for awhile - he was from out of state and had his RV parked at the Oasis Casino RV Park.  He said his wife was taking an afternoon nap and he was walking around Mesquite for some exercise.   I don't really approve of voluntary exercise, but I didn't feel that I knew him well enough to counsel him about it.

He was fun to talk to, had visited Mesquite NV several times before and loved it.  So I offered to pick him and his alleged wife, Judy up at the RV Park and give them a tour of Mesquite. 

As I was on my way to the RV Park to pick up Rich and Judy, Annie, one of my 3 daughters called me.  I told her I would call her back in a while - that I was about to pick up a guy named Rich and show him around Mesquite.

My husband's name is also Rich - Annie thought I was talking about him and kidding around. 

Later, she called my husband's cell - he said he didn't know where I was.  (He didn't notice that his cell phone was beeping - I had left him a message telling him where I was)

So Annie called my other daughter, Amy, who called my other daughter, Aly, who called my mother-in-law, Maryanne.

Annie decided that I had been kidnapped by ax murderers or something and called the police in Mesquite and asked them to look for my car along side the road.

In the meantime, we had decided to go tour the new Pulte Del Webb Sun City Mesquite Active Adult Community - and for some reason, I left my cell phone in the car, which is very unusual - I always take it with me.

We spent a couple of hours at Sun City Mesquite.  Lila Williams, the Sales Representative and I spent a good amount of time showing Rich and Judy and their Killer dog around the Sun City Mesquite models and Rec Center.

While we were looking at the new homes, everybody I know was calling me.  When we got back to the car and I saw all of those missed calls, I started answering the phone and assuring them that I was fine.  This was the first I knew of that anyone was worried about me!

Finally, I explained, as nicely as I could, to Rich and Judy that I might have to make a couple of calls because my whole family thinks that they are ax murderers.

So the moral of this story is 'keep yourself safe'.  We now have a code that I use with my family to let them know that yes, I will be missing in action, but I am safe.  And I leave a message about who I am with and when I will be home - with someone besides my husband, who never even looks at his phone!

And if you ever see these scary looking people and their Killer Dog, RUN FOR YOUR LIFE !

The good news here is that Rich and Judy are buying a new second home at Pulte Del Webb's Sun City Mesquite, we have become friends, and I get to come over and swim in the pool!

Maybe I can talk them into giving me a spare key (you know, for emergencies when they are not in town) - then I can impersonate them and use that wonderful Sun City Mesquite Recreation Center, too!

Judy and Rich and Killer live out of state and I have been monitoring the progress of their new Sun City home for them.  So far, so good!
